We've previously discussed how garden rooms can be used to house your adult children, and this still remains a very productive idea. Long gone are the game arcades of the 80s and 90s, but if you're feeling nostalgic, fear not! You can enjoy your favourite retro games by using a garden room to make your own vintage video game arcade. Think about setting up old and new consoles, dance and music games and even arcade machines for a blast to the past. We guarantee you'll be having too much to ever leave!

8. Gym

Work out at your own pace with your very own gym. Leave space for floor work and choose a select few pieces of equipment. And don't forget to add in mirrors down one side, so you can watch your form and build to keep you motivated. 'Garden rooms also have enough space to add in a shower and changing room too,' says Oeco.

9. Hobby room

If you have a hobby that you're really passionate about, then turn your garden room into a creative hobby room. Whether sewing, crafting, beer making or restoring furniture, garden rooms make great areas to enjoy your favourite pastime.
